Modern Tile & Low-Maintenance Bathroom Upgrade – Newport News, VA

This bathroom remodel in Newport News transformed an original 1990s shower and tub area into a clean, modern space designed for easier maintenance and long-term durability. The homeowner wanted to eliminate persistent grout issues and update the overall look without sacrificing comfort or style.

To address these concerns, the existing tile was removed and several grout-heavy features were replaced with solid stone. One-piece stone seats and shelves reduced moisture-prone joints, while matching stone caps on the knee wall and shower threshold created a cohesive, streamlined finish.

The walls were updated with large-format Happy Floors Apollo Beige 12x24 tile, which brightened the room and reduced grout lines for a more contemporary appearance. On the shower floor, Island Stone French Tan Pebble was installed to provide natural texture, improved drainage, and a spa-inspired feel underfoot. A Crystal Shores accent stripe added subtle contrast and visual interest to complete the design.

The finished bathroom offers a brighter look, cleaner lines, and a low-maintenance layout that fits seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Bathroom Transformation – Yorktown, VA

We recently completed a stunning bathroom remodel for a first-time customer in Yorktown. The color coordination between the tiles, accent stripe, and vanity came together beautifully to create a truly cohesive and elegant space.

To open up the room, we removed the existing fiberglass tub/shower and the wall to the left of the tub, transforming the area into a spacious custom shower. The homeowner chose a new addition to the Schluter product line: backlit recessed niches with LED lighting, which add both function and a soft, modern glow.

The shower threshold was crafted from the same stone as the vanity, creating a seamless design that’s not only aesthetically striking but also eliminates grout lines on the curb, making it easy to keep clean. We continued the shower tile around the bathroom walls and collaborated with our vanity partner so that the accent stripe material doubles as a backsplash for the stone vanity top.

It's All About That Space - Seaford

We brought open concept to a new space in this Seaford master bath! The homeowner challenged us to make better use of their space. We replaced a large corner tub with a smaller rectangle one and enlarged the shower space substantially. The shower features custom recessed niches, grab bars, glass panels without a door and a mosaic stripe that is also featured in the tub area. The vanity remained in place but received a new granite top, the same granite was used for the shower knee walls and entrance. These thoughtful touches of repeating products result in a cohesive, visually appealing room.

Wallpaper Be Gone! - Williamsburg

We were thrilled to help this Williamsburg client revitalize their bath by removing the wallpaper and tiled shower. They envisioned a calm, serene aesthetic including an intimate freestanding tub.. We delivered by incorporating tiles with soft gray and white tones in the wainscot surrounding the tub area and carried those through to the custom marble shower. We created a stunning marble deco wall to showcase the floating mirrors and custom vanity to complete their stylish new space.

Here's a great example of taking advantage of a high ceiling in a room makeover! This client called on Jack's when their existing contractor walked off the job after completing the demo portion of the contract. We took that blank canvas to new heights with lighting, mirrors, vanity, a free-standing tub, and an oversized shower with a custom linear Schluter drain. The homeowner utilized the high ceiling to create a stunning focal point with patterned and decorative tiles that are the highlight of their renovated room.
